Still shot from Gia Bella’s new video, directed by Mike Dispenza. This is our 3rd collaboration, and it’s so sick! Working Post on it, scheduled to wrap this up tonight/tomorrow. Can’t wait to show everyone.

Just wrapped on First Things First’s new video. Great shoot - even greater guys. Check out their bandcamp. We shot RED Epic with a good mix of PL glass. For a small crew, we nailed it. Every shot seemed better than the last.

So much footage to sift through…my favorite part :)

This my roommate Joe and his girlfriend Kelly.

We went to Valley Green to take some test shots with my new 24 and 85.

I enjoy the grading on these a lot, although rather rough and quick. Sharpness on the 24 could be better if it wasn’t so damn gorgeous to shoot at 1.4 or 1.6 on it.

The 85 is my new love. Need to get the 1.2 soon. mmmm.

WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER WHEN YOU ARE IN A BAD MOOD?

I’d have to say a good Kona Blend Wawa Coffee. Nothing like a fresh cup of java to make you forget the world and focus on the overwhelming taste that takes over.

My sister Theresa and her fiance David from a recent shoot.

She runs a fantastic wine blog. Check it out if you enjoy the vino ;)

First off, A+ to Valencia for this song. Something about it gets the water wells flowing. Probably because it reminds me of my dad.

But on to the point of my post, this video makes me feel something deep down in there (TALKIN’ BOUT MY CHEST CAVITY, YOU NERD). What grabbed my attention long enough to make me bother to write a post? Well, beyond the obvious talent of subjects in the video (especially those kiddies… favoritism going to the one who stops at the ice cream place), whoever filmed it did some quality stuff and the post-processing is gorgeous. Someone hit a sweet spot in my heart with them there color tones. So, hats off to whoever was responsible for this video. I don’t know much about videography (I actually know nothing), but if I break down the components of the video from a photographer’s standpoint, it’s quite nice. Simple, but still invokes something in the heart of the viewer… Pleasantries all around.

Still from a video I’m working on… :)

btw. shooting a feature film next spring called GOODWAR. check it out!!!!

FOLLOWER | Video Production

I launched a company with my friend and business partner Doug Capper, owner of Little Whale Art. It is called FOLLOWER. It is a video production moniker for our venture into the music video and commercial advertising realm. The website is a mash-up of work we have done together, private projects, and a personal showcase of what we are capable of. We present this to you. Share it, speak of it, and FOLLOW. We are proud of what we are and what we do.

We are posting a few new videos in the next 2 weeks, so keep checking back for updates!

Rehobeth; Shaggy - SUMMER

It’s tuesday and I’m exhausted. I am moving into my new apartment tomorrow, and the office has a lot to be finished before it is 100%. Work has been crazy lately, so Monday for the holiday, my friend Talain and I drove to Rehobeth Beach in Delaware to visit my girlfriend and her friend Kathleen. It was an awesome Day. We took a ton of photos and videos, including one on the gravitron which ROCKED!

This weekend I’m hitting the road with Brendan Walter to go on tour with Shaggy for a little bit and do some web EPK stuff. Yes, Shaggy as in Bombastic, It wasn’t me, and all that encompasses the early 1990’s and 2000’s. It should be a great weekend. I’ll put some stills up from that shoot at some point..

Summer is looking promising. I’ll be pushing myself to be better than I thought possible and my goals are set. Lets do this. Photos soon.

MY DOGS! :)

7d// Canon 82mm 1.2L

It’s been a while.

February/March….

I’ve been working on a TON of new jobs…Each week I’ll be posting another one. I’ve got a commercial, 3 music videos & Promo’s for rapper TIMM.

Here’s a still from Ace Marcano’s new music video.

Part I of the Valencia shoot is done. Part II is this weekend. Get stoked. The collaboration of creative minds on this one is insane. We had an awesome shoot! Branded Productions’ Ed Seiders came out and helped, along with some fantastic people who were all willing to get up super early and carry a TON of equipment through the woods and into a gorgeous open field. Then the band put 100% energy into everything for hours on end.

The second half of the day moved to Ocean City, NJ for some more fun, but that is a secret..

until next time..

On set. Taken by Doug Capper.

SHORTTRAC

This commercial shoot was intense, fun, hysterical and crazy at the same time. We had actors come in from NYC, several of whom were stranded in Newark on the same Greyhound bus that broke down.

Little Whale’s Doug Capper was Lighting Director, and Branded Productions was the Production Company. We shot with Canon L series lenses, specifically the 85mm 1.2L and the 70-200 2.8L IS II, as well as a few pick-ups with the Sigma 30mm 1.4. The Sigma was Nikon fit, but adapted to Canon for B-Cam, a Canon 7D, as it is not a full frame lens and couldn’t be used for A-Cam, the Canon 5D MKII.

We had the IndiSystem rails/shoulder mount of the DSLRsm; paired with a Zacuto follow focus on a Manfrotto legs and a new ProAim Mattebox. More to come soon, for now, enjoy some still framed Dailies.
